Silent Auction 2007

With over 100 items to bid on at the Friends of CSU's 13th annual gala, there is something for everyone! The silent auction will be held during the gala event. All proceeds will be used for need-based scholarships for students at CSU. Thank you in advance for your participation.

Below are samples of items you can expect to see at this year's Silent Auction:

• Aeron Ergonomic Chair
• Haywood Estates Wine Basket
• One year family membership pass to the Nature Museum
• Dental exam, including x-rays, cleaning and bleaching
• Viking Classic – Concierge accommodations at the Hilton with breakfast each morning, and two passes to Saturday/ Sunday rounds that, which allow guests to access the private tent on the course and receive free food and beverages.
• A traditional room for two for one night at The Westin Michigan Avenue, Chicago
• Northlight Theater passes

Steps on how to bid at a silent auction:

1. Take note of the items that interest you and their starting values.
2. View the auction items at the event. Bid sheets will be provided for each item with a notation of its starting value.
3. Bid on an item by writing the amount you would like to bid, sign your name and phone number on the bid sheet.
4. Go back periodically to the items to see wether you've been outbid. As the auction period continues throughout the evening, more people sign bid sheets, and the prices increase.
5. Write a new amount if you're willing to increase the bid, sign your name and phone number on the bid sheet again.
6. Wait for the closing of the sale to see if you have won the highest bid. Pay the foundation staff and collect your items.
