Blackboard Training Real Player

On the Blackboard Training Center you will find learning materials developed by Blackboard Learning Solutions, including step-by-step tutorials, multimedia walk-throughs, and tip sheeets on specific topics.

Blackboard Resources
The Blackboard Resources site collects high-quality education resources and organizes them into academic categories and disciplines. Each discipline-specific page provides news feeds , links to web sites, access to Blackboard Communities, an academic Web search, and access to full-text search of indexed periodical articles. Instructors can customize the Resource Center when intertgrated with a course Web site in CSUOnline.Blackboard.com.

Instructor Center
The Blackboard Instructor Center is designed as a resource for those who teach online. Featured articles and instructor Spotlights act as jumpnig off points for discussions in the Instructor's Education Community and Blackboard User Community.

Support
The Blackboard Support center provides support resources to all users, including documentation, a searchable knowledge base, and forums where you can discuss approaches to using Blackboard with other users around the world.


The RealPlayer plug-in from Real Networks, Inc., is necessary for viewing Real Networks audio and video formats (.ram, .rm, .ra). Notes: this download page gives you the option of downloading RealPlayer Plus which is not free, or RealPlayer Basic which is Free. RealPlayer Basic will meet your needs for this course. Available for Windows and Macintosh.

Apple Quick Time Player
The QuickTime Player is necessary for viewing digital video the is stored in QuickTime format, (.mov files). Although it is made by Apple, there are versions available for both the Windows and Macintosh operating sytems.

MacromediaFlash, Shockwave/downloads
Flash, Shockwave, and Authorware -- all Macromedia, Inc. -- are three of the most common multimedia formats used on the web. The players allow you to view these formats in your web browser. Note: you only need to download the free players: you do not need to download the trial versions of the software. Available for Windows, Macintosh and Linux.

Winzip
WinZip brings the convenience of Windows to the use of Zip files and other compression formats. The optional wizard interface makes zipping and unzipping easier than ever. WinZip features built-in support for CAB files and for popular Internet file formats such as TAR, gzip, UUencode, BinHex, and MIME. ARJ, LZH, and ARC files are supported via external programs.
