Navigating Blackboard

Inside Blackboard you will see a header frame that contains seven links and tabs to common areas: Home, Help, Logout, My CSU, Courses, Community, and WebMail

Common Area Image Links
1. Home: Returns to the CSU home page, http://www.csu.edu.
2. Help: Links to the online support site, http://support.blackboard.com/b3/index.htm.
3. Logout: Clicking the "Logout" button ends your Blackboard session.

The "My CSU" Tab
The My CSU common area contains tools and information specific to each user. This is the page you are sent to after logging in to Blackboard.
Here you will see the "Welcome" greeting, tools and contents.

The "My CSU" Tab contains:
1. My Announcements - Displays announcements.
2. My Courses - Displays courses in which the user is enrolled, with announcements, calendar events, and tasks.
3. My Calendar - Displays calendar events.
4. My Tasks - Displays tasks
5. Courses: Quick View - Displays courses in which the user is enrolled.
6. Learn More About Course Cartridges - Information for instructors on Course Cartridges.
7. Course Cartridge Support for Students - Support resources and how-to information for students in courses that use Course Cartridges.

The Courses Tab
1. Course Search - Search the Available Blackboard courses. Courses set as "Unavailable" in the course settings will not show up in this Search.
2. Course List - Courses are listed into two categories:
-Courses you are teaching
-Courses in which you are enrolled
3. Click on a course to access that course Web site.
4. Course Catalog - Browse or Search only the Available Blackboard courses.
