The Office of Distance Learning (ODL) provides "distance learning" courses both credit and non-credit to students in need of "learning from a distance". Since 1999, ODL has offered distance learning courses by utilizing the following modes of instruction:

Web-based courses (CSU Online)
Interactive Teleconferencing courses using Videoconferencing Networks,

Distance Learning provides educational opportunities for those who are "self-motivated", well-disciplined and independent learners. The task to use new and emerging technologies to expand the boundaries free of "time and space" will provide students and instructors with increased equity and access to the highest educational opportunities available. The Office of Distance Learning recommends the use of the Firefox browser as opposed to the use of Internet Explorer 7 & 8 with the use of Blackboard.
