Theory and Treatment of Sexual Addiction

Sexual addiction has key features that distinguish it from other problematic sexual behaviors. Understanding differences, issues and special challenges of sexual addictions is very important for developing effective treatment approaches. This workshop will review the main theories for understanding sexual addiction; discuss the diagnostic criteria and differential diagnosis of this disorder; and finally present an overview of the treatment modalities that have been most effective for the treatment of sexual addictions.
