The College of Education (COE) consists of the departments of Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Foundations (ELCF); Health, Physical Education, and Recreation (HPER); Reading, Elementary, Middle Grades, & Bilingual Education, (REMB); Library, Information and Media Studies (LIMS); Special Education, Early Childhood Education, and Technology and Education (SETE). COE has 34 programs (Initial Certification, Advanced Certification, and Non-Certification) in a variety of fields at both the Undergraduate and Graduate level. Please note: The COE offers K-12 and secondary teacher preparation and educational service personnel programs within the content disciplines in the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS).  Endorsements are also available.

Academic Support Units

COE offers several Academic Support Units such as the Office of Field Placement (OFP), the Office of Teacher Certification (OTC), Center for Integrating Technology into Education (C.I.T.E.), and Teachers’ Writing Center (TWC).
