Dr. Kimberly M. Edwards is the Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs for the College of Education at Chicago State University and teaches graduate-level courses in higher education administration. Previously, she served as the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs and Policy, addressing student concerns, developing programmatic policy and overseeing policy implementation. Dr. Edwards also serves as the co-chair of the Chicago State University Diversity and Inclusion Council and the Chair of the College of Education Diversity Committee. She earned her doctorate at the University of Illinois at Chicago, with an emphasis in policy studies in urban education. Her research interests include critical multiculturalism, organizational diversity socialization and culturally responsive pedagogy and practice.
Dr. Cathryn Busch is the Interim Assistant Dean of Student Affairs and Services for the College of Education at Chicago State University. She serves as the college grievance office and oversees other student issues. Previously, Dr. Busch served as a department chairperson in several departments, including Graduate Programs in Education, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Career & Technical Education and Bilingual Education, over a period of 8 years. Prior to that, she served the College of Education as a faculty member for 11 years. . Dr. Busch earned her doctorate at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1995 in Curriculum and Instruction. Her research interest is in improving the education of poor and minority children.
