Why would I want to go to

Teachers’ Writing Center?

  • To learn to write
  • To learn to write well
  • To write well enough to meet standards for teachers
  • To see if I am writing well enough to get a good grade
  • To see if I am writing well enough that the professor won’t
  • refer me to TWC anyway (hint: come 3 days before you turn in your paper!)
  • To get prescriptions if my writing is sick
  • To get help with new formats like critiques, lesson plans,
  • summaries & theses
  • To get help writing resumes & letters of introduction
  • To get help writing essays for the English exams
  • To get help with the Basic Skills so I can pass the test
  • To use a computer for writing a paper
  • To print out a paper I’ve already written
  • To chat with a friendly staff about writing

  Is that reason enough?

Visit early and often!

Details:  It’s in ED 309 A, first thing in the front door. For tutoring: If we’re open, make an appointment at the desk.
