I have been an educator for over 20 years, and I love teaching and learning.  I enjoy collegial work and have been on several university, college and program committees.

Moreover, I use many cooperative learning structures in the courses and workshops I conduct.  Many of the courses have practical and innovative standards based projects that are assessed using authentic assessment tools.  Bilingual education is an ever growing field, and I wholeheartedly believe that bilingual teachers from Chicago State University are among the best trained teachers in the nation.

Some of my most recent professional endeavors include work with Northeastern Illinois University in the Real-Life Curriculum Infusion Project, planning and development of a technology and career education web-site http://www.csu.edu/lscm/CTEWebquest and I am currently working with the Illinois Migrant Council to develop a comprehensive needs assessment for the state of Illinois.
