Dr. Choi's
research focuses on the educational technologies, arts and
education, and multicultural studies. She has
her Ph.D. in art education at Florida State University and has
presented/published her
works and workshops at international and national art education
conferences, including the NAEA (National Art Education Association), InSEA (International Society for Education through Art),
and the KAEA (Korean Art Education Association). Her articles have
appeared in such journals as IL Schools Journal, Korean Art Education
Journal, and Journal of Cultural Research
in Art Education.

"Nature,
especially the play of light & shadow
and texture, invariably attracts and holds
my attention. Most of my previous works in silkscreens are
visual
expressions of my deepest ruminations about that. I can
hardly escape from the mysterious allusions of nature, such
as the fragrance
of fog on the early
morning river. I hope I can be that kind of person, not
revealing everything, but always holding something inside with
modesty.
As I grow professionally
in the field of art education, my interest also grows
from nature to culture. My current interest is on my newly found
root culture, traditional Korean culture
and arts."
