What actually happens?

  • When oil mixes with water or the ocean it begins to change and disperse.

  • Though it is toxic, it becomes less with time.

  • Some will evaporate, some with sink to the bottom of the ocean and slowly release hydrocarbons into the water.

  • Ultimately when oil is dumped into the ocean it contaminates our supply of drinking water, kill fish, & poison wildlife.
