Employment

To apply for a police officer position at CSU, a potential applicant must

● be at least 21 years of age;

● have proof of high school graduation or a G.E.D. certificate;

● have a valid State of Illinois driver’s license;

● have no felony convictions; and

● pass a background investigation.

Successful applicants must also pass written examinations and physical agility tests administered by the Human Resources Department.

In addition, 400 hours of basic recruit training will be provided which candidates must successfully complete to be considered for employment.
