CSU Named Tree Campus USA

Chicago State University has been named Tree Campus USA for 2010 by the Arbor Day Foundation.

Dr. Karel Jacobs stated, "It is wonderful to be recognized nationally as a university that values its trees and outdoor campus. The CSU campus is part of a larger urban forest that contributes important psychological and ecological benefits to the inner city. Thanks are due to the dedicated staff who care for the trees, and students, staff and faculty who participate in Tree Advisory Committee and Arbor Day events. I invite all in the CSU community to become involved this year during Earth Week and Arbor Day at the end of April."
