Discover below which type of applicant you are.

A basic distinction, is that of a degree-seeker at CSU and non-degree seeking. Review each type of applicant below. Please select the application that is most applicable for you. 

Undergraduate Student

If you are seeking an undergraduate degree either as a beginning freshman, transfer student or second bachelor's degree, you will need to utilize the Undergraduate Application.

Undergraduate-at-Large (visiting)

If you are not seeking a degree from Chicago State University at this time, you will need to utilize the Undergraduate-at-Large Application. Be sure to read the instructions thoroughly.

Note: Undergraduate-at-Large students are not eligible for any type of financial assistance and will not receive an evaluation of previous college credit.

Undergraduate International

An International student is anyone who is neither a U.S. citizen nor a U.S. permanent resident. You must utilize the paper version of the International Undergraduate Application. Please read and follow the written instructions. International students can not apply online.

Readmit Applicants

A former CSU undergraduate student who left the University for 2 years or more and was in good academic standing must apply for readmission through the Office of Records and Registration. 773/995-2522

Reinstatement Applicants

A former CSU undergraduate student who has been dismissed for poor scholarship and has been away from the University for more than one term must apply for reinstatement. Contact the Office of Admissions for further information at 773/995-2513.

Summer School Only At Large

Students wishing to take one or more courses for the summer are to use the Summer Session Only Application. 

Please review the Admissions Criteria for each type of applicant. Test scores, documents, and other requirements are detailed here. To check on the status of your application or to speak to an Admissions Counselor, please call the Office of Admissions at 773/995-2513 or e-mail ug-admissions@csu.edu.

Undergraduate Catalog

If you would like to receive an undergraduate catalog, please send your name, address, city, state and zip code along with a check or money order for $7.00 payable to Chicago State University
